Updating Your Username

To update your username, navigate to Settings → Profile and locate the Username field. Enter your preferred username and save your changes.

If the username is available and meets CreateLixir's requirements, it will be updated immediately and reflected across your profile.

To ensure consistency across the platform, usernames must:

• Be unique.
• Contain only letters, numbers, underscores (_), or periods (.).
• Be between 3 and 30 characters long.
• Not contain spaces or special characters.
• Not impersonate another user or violate the platform's community guidelines.

If your chosen username is unavailable, try a slight variation or add numbers while keeping it recognizable.

As you type, CreateLixir automatically checks whether your chosen username is available. If the username is already in use or doesn't meet the requirements, you'll receive instant feedback before saving.

Changing your username updates your public profile across the platform. Existing collaborators will still have access to your projects, but they may need to use your new username when searching for or mentioning you.

Choose a username that you'll be comfortable using long-term.

For the best experience:

• Keep your username short and memorable.
• Use the same username across your social platforms if possible.
• Avoid unnecessary symbols or numbers.
• Choose a professional username if you plan to collaborate publicly.
